It is incredibly difficult to be successful in all the ways we want to: to be a good parent and spouse, to pursue a fulfilling career, to balance work, family and personal interests, to maintain passionate connections in relationships and marriage, to manage time efficiently, to cope with the inevitable losses of illness and death, to maintain healthy habits, to feel part of a community, and to nurture a sense of spirituality despite the incessant demands and business of daily life.
Over the more than twenty years that I have been a full-time psychologist in private practice, I have developed a passionate confidence that with support, active listening, strategizing and encouragement, the clients I work with will see that they possess the imagination, courage, resourcefulness and life experience to tackle, and even grow from, even the hardest challenges.
What inspires me the most about being a therapist is the opportunity every day to help my clients discover resources they did not know they had.
